Why Do We Love Donkeys?
What is it about donkeys that makes them so loveable? Maybe it's their adorable long ears and gentle eyes. Or perhaps their calming personalities. Or maybe it's all the entertaining sounds they make.
Whatever the reason, here at Riding Rain Ranch, we love donkeys! We have two characters on our ranch - our large standard, Apple Jack, and our small standard, Chocolate Puddin'. "Jackie" and "Pud" are a constant source of entertainment around the farm.
Since bringing the boys home, Laura and Rhonda have fallen head over heels into the category of "Donkey-holics."
However, as we got into the donkey world, we discovered that not all donkeys around the world are treated with the love, respect and dignity they deserve. We decided we needed to do what we could to help promote donkey welfare and bring awareness to the issues many donkeys face. This website will provide you with resources on donkey care and welfare, humane donkey training and opportunities to help donkeys around the world.
